The 1976 Olympics: More Politics, Less Sport!

The ‘2012 London Olympics’- is definitely the most talked-about event these days. This triggered me to give you all an article related to the 1976 Olympics summer games which were held in Montreal.

The Olympics were boycotted by 28 African countries just days before the opening ceremony. This article gives a brief account of the political reasons which led to this boycott and an introduction to certain incidents in which the differences between nations’ came out on the fields as well.
