About

When I first started this blog, all I wanted was to make people read. Hence, the name. Some of my friends would constantly ask me to send them stories and articles that could help them understand more about the world and its issues. This blog aims to be a core platform for that – to encourage people to remain informed and cognizant of the existence of this huge world and the myriad cultures and stories.

But, I divert too often and write personal stories about life, traveling, aspirations, dreams and pain because this is where I can rant about everything that has a bearing on me. I started writing here in 2012 while I was working as a software engineer. Today, I am a journalist with a master’s degree from Northwestern University. So, I finally have some formal education in the field and understand the art of writing, analysis, reporting and research way more than I did a few years ago (An informal way of telling you all to not judge me too stringently).

This space is all about reading and writing, the two things that make the most sense in my life and in the lives of many others I know.

Go ahead and keep reading! And follow the blog on Facebook to get updates on excellent articles, news stories and quotes from a variety of sources everyday.

  1. Hey Niki, a beautiful initiative of trying to make reading, a remarkable habit for everyone.
Wish you all the best. God blesses!!

  2. Thanks Nehal di. I will feel successful only when I see that people have actually started reading and spreading knowledge…that indeed is very important for me because I truly realize how great a habit reading is.

    • Thank you for the appreciation and the follow. I am doing all I can to make people aware of the things happening all over the world; its really important to “know” and try and do whatever we can for those who need love and a realisation that humanity exists and will never cease to be there. Thanks again for stopping by!

  4. Wow! I like the quote about reading and learning. That is so true. Keep posting such wonderful and interesting entries, Nikita.

      • Yeah, exactly! Oh, I’m not really a writer. I’m just someone who writes, haha! Apologies for my dry sense of humor. I’m not sure if I know how to write correctly. All I know is I just write whatever it is that’s going on in my mind. 🙂

  5. I call myself a rebel, yet I find it hard to revolutionize my life or lives of the people who need a transformation; a very positive one. However, I wish to bring a difference, a huge one, someday. ” I read this in your about me section and i was like, am i reading about myself. Nice to meet you nikita.
